Sinossi: Nel contesto montano delle Alpi occitane italiane, Chersogno è un piccolo villaggio la cui sopravvivenza è legata ad alcune persone anziane ed a un fugace turismo estivo. In questa comunità arriva un pastore francese accompagnato dalla sua famiglia e dalle sue capre. Il suo arrivo, grazie alla sua piccola attività di imprenditore formaggiaio che intende avviare, può costituire una fonte di rilancio per il paese. Poco alla volta, però, emergono incomprensioni e invidie che rendono la coesistenza col nuovo arrivato sempre più difficile.
Synopsis: Chersogno is a small Occitan village in the Italian Alps, its survival dependent on a few elderly people and a handful of summer tourists. Into this small community arrives a French shepherd, accompanied by his family and his goats. He sets up a small cheese-making business and is welcomed, if not with completely open arms. At first his arrival shows the possibilty of a new life for the village. But little by little the situation becomes increasingly difficult, with misunderstandings and rigidity plus a pinch of jealousy.

| Giorgio Diritti nasce a Bologna nel 1959. Collabora con Fellini, Lizzani, Ferreri e con Pupi Avati. Entra a far
parte di Ipotesi Cinema, coordinata da Ermanno Olmi. Al suo primo corto Cappello da marinaio (1988) seguono
un film televisivo, reportages e documentari. Il vento fa il suo giro segna lesordio nel lungometraggio. Giorgio Diritti was born in Bologna in 1959. He has worked with Federico Fellini, Carlo Lizzani, Marco Ferreri and particularly with Pupi Avati. He has collaborated with the Ipotesi Cinema workshop, coordinated by Ermanno Olmi. His first short film Cappello da marinaio (Sailors Hat) was made in 1988 and followed by a television film, documentaries and many TV reports. Il vento fa il suo giro is his first feature film.
