Sinossi: In Senegal cinquecento navi europee iper-tecnologiche solcano le acque nazionali pescando gigantesche quantità di pesce per il mercato europeo; contemporaneamente quindicimila piroghe provano ogni giorno a prendere quello che rimane, e con questo a nutrire 600.000 persone. I pescatori senegalesi per la ricerca del pesce si basano sullosservazione dei movimenti dellacqua, sul riflesso della luna sulle scaglie e sulluso di speciali amuleti ricevuti dalle guide spirituali dei loro villaggi. Gli esperti affermano che nel giro di dieci anni non ci sarà più pesce nelle acque del Senegal, e sarà una tragedia.

Synopsis: In Senegal 500 hyper-technological European fishing vessels enter the Senegalese waters and fish enormous quantities of fish for the European market. In Senegal 15,000 pirogues every day try to catch what remains and to nourish 600,000 people. The Senegalese fishermen try to detect the fish stocks by looking at the movements of the water, the reflection of the moon on the scales and using special amulets provided by the spiritual guides of the villages. In ten years time, the experts say that there will be no more fish in the water of Senegal and this will cause a human tragedy.
