Sinossi: Immaginiamo una storia di speranza, frustrazione, occupazione, globalizzazione e politica che ruota attorno ad un piccolo frutto rosso: è lavventura di una fragola che sogna la libertà. Le piante arrivano da Israele a Gaza, dove, nei campi di Beit Lahiya, vengono coltivate per rifornire il mercato europeo. Gli stessi campi di fragole, dove il ciclo agricolo è documentato parallelamente agli eventi politici che coinvolgono i coltivatori, divengono teatro di guerra e delle tristi violenze che la accompagnano. I colori brillanti dello splendido scenario campestre, passano quindi in second piano in una terra dove a governare non sono più le leggi della natura, ma quelle dellOccupazione.

Synopsis: Imagine a story about hope, frustration, occupation, globalization and politics, and at its center a small red fruit: the story of a strawberry who yearned for independence. The mother plants arrive from Israel to Gaza, where in the fields of Beit Lahiya they are cultivated for the European markets. The agricultural cycle of the fruit is documented together with the political events that directly affected the lives of the farmers who cultivate it. In December the strawberry fields became a battlefield and the site of a vicious cycle of violence. Out of these green fields, red fruit, sky and sea, could emerge a pastoral image of farmers earning their livelihood by working the land. But in Gaza it is not the laws of nature that rule but those of the Occupation.
